We’ve been recruiting recently, and the team at Premier Homecare decided to write a News post with tips for those looking for Bristol care work this Spring.
The first tip is to ensure that the care company in Bristol you are going for an interview with has a good industry rating and positive reviews from both current care workers and clients.
Premier Homecare was the first care company in Bristol to be given an ‘Outstanding’ rating by industry body the Care Quality Commission and we ensure that all care workers are trained and supported as per CQC guidelines.
The CQC does not give an ‘Outstanding’ rating to every care provider in Bristol; other companies may only achieve ‘Good’, or ‘Requires Improvement’ ratings.
The management and training team at Premier Homecare work closely with all care staff on a continual and ongoing basis, to ensure all deliver the highest standards of care and support to our clients. Supervisory and management staff are always on-hand to support all our Homecare and Live-In carers.
We also receive consistently good reviews from our care team – in fact, we are currently rated with 4.9 out of 5 on the job site Indeed.
The latest care worker review read as follows:
“Every week is different and extremely rewarding. They are very supportive (all management and other carers). They have taught me a considerable amount that will stick with me for life.
The long training period thoroughly prepared me to be out on my own. They are very accommodating and flexible. If you feel overwhelmed, they come out to support you. Absolutely fantastic company to work for.”

Furthermore, we promise to ensure that all carers are confident and competent, as well as being continually supported by a friendly and accessible team.
There are huge care career opportunities with Premier Homecare, and we welcome any enquiry from a member of staff who wishes to progress their career.
We have starting roles as Home Care Assistants, as well as positions for experienced Live-In Carers. There are also roles for those who have senior levels of care experience.
Some of the care job positions with Premier Homecare include:
Supervisor
Field Trainer
Senior Supervisor
In-House Trainer
Various roles within our care teams
We employ over 100 staff across two sites in Bristol at Westbury-on-Trym and Stoke Hill offices and have been established since 2004.
We recruit candidates from the Bristol area and pay the maximum amount of travel allowance to our carers. This is 45 pence per mile, which helps to address the rising costs of fuel.
Premier Homecare pays carers for all training sessions they receive, and our refresher care training exceeds the requirements laid down by Skills for Care.
