We’re delighted to announce this week that Premier Homecare, a leading independent home care provider in Bristol, has gained BBC coverage.
The high-profile media coverage broadcast on BBC Points West highlighted the shortage of home care workers required to meet the current demand from people in Bristol and across the wider South West.
Journalists also interviewed our very own Deb Daly, who joined us in March 2020, as a Home Care Assistant.
The BBC report joined Deb with one of her home care clients, illustrating the outstanding levels of care provided, as well as speaking to the client in person. It was fantastic to see one of our home care workers on television.
You can see the BBC Points West report in full here.
Deb joined Premier Homecare with a background in office work and wanted to change her career into a more rewarding role in care.
We supported her and helped her to achieve the Care Certificate which ensured that Deb was proficient and competent in all aspects of her care role.
This was contained in the Skills For Care Inductions Standard-an industry training requirement for people new to working in Social Care as care assistants.
Deb has progressed since 2020 to a full-time Senior Home Care Assistant.
Speaking about her time with Premier Homecare since 2020, Deb said:
“I was nervous about changing careers initially, but have been so well supported throughout by Premier Homecare. I wish I’d made the career move into care years ago. The training and ongoing support are second-to-none.”
